We spent a few hours today (Sunday 5th February 2017) getting the non-party political ‘Save Our Beds’ campaign shop in Shaftesbury ready for opening tomorrow morning at 10 am.

Save Our Beds’ is the central campaign working closely with the Shaftesbury Town Council Westminster Memorial Hospital Working Group to safeguard the medical beds within the hospital.

Apart from putting up some window dressing, the real work is in the organisation. There is still a lot of work to be done in finding street wardens to get the message out amongst the community as well as ensuring we have sufficient questionnaires to meet demand over the coming weeks.

Members of the team are hard at work over spreadsheets collating the data and others are putting together delivery packs for our door-knockers.

Save our Beds’ is a once in a blue-moon opportunity for you to help save a much loved local institution, so please help if you are able by manning the shop at 45, High Street, Shaftesbury or by taking the message to other residents in your area.

For more information please:
