Funding and Position Statement

During my campaign I have been asked about various interests that I may or may not have. I have therefore prepared this statement to answer those questions.

I am a member of the UK Independence Party and, because UKIP has no party whip system I will act purely in the interests of keeping Dorset safe. But I will use the power of the party that forced the government to give you the EU Stay/Leave referendum where I can to keep policing at the forefront of  the minds of those in Westminster.

Campaign Funding: my campaign has been funded from various sources:

  • The £5,000 deposit was provided directly to the office of the Police Area Returning Officer by UKIP South West and, as long as I get over five percent of the vote, that sum will be returned directly to UKIP SW after the vote.
  • My agent has received many donations kindly given by members of the public, as well as a donation from UKIP SW, which were all placed in a UKIP account on the understanding that it would be primarily spent on the PCC campaign, but if anything was left over it would then be used on the In/Out Referendum campaign. Up until the point of publishing this article, the single largest donation (excluding the deposit) was provided personally by me and appropriately declared.

I have an interest in two companies: The Economic Voice Limited and Taylor Ffoulkes Limited.

I have no undeclared offshore funds and pay the full amount of tax due.

In light of concerns raised recently in the press about Freemasonry and the police, for the avoidance of any doubt I would just like to say I am not, nor have I ever been, a Freemason.
